Founded in 2014, Hangar 7 Art produces historically accurate military aviation prints, apparel, fabrics, commissioned works and other merchandise by Australian born artist Mark Donoghue. “After being a long time collector and researcher of WWII aviation. And starting with nothing more than a passion for my subject, imagination, and few basic computer skills. I began producing aviation artworks. What has evolved is a fusion of photography and various digital art techniques, to bring to life my minds eye view of 20th century military aviation and aerial combat. I find there is a beauty and majesty on the canvas in which these pioneer aviators endured, and inflicted so much horror.” - Mark Donoghue

Thanks for you interest Alan. My work is largely composite photography, altered and enhanced using several processes in Photoshop. Weathering, props, pilots, insignia etc. are added to the aircraft & several filters applied to the overall image. Not as skilled as your oils but it's a process I enjoy.

Hi Mark, I usually paint in oils and have only ever done one electronic art picture using Paint Shop Pro. This is for editing photos and is not meant for painting with. How do you create your pictures?

Glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback.
